Clubs, groups, afterschool clubs, oekos groups

Holy Trinity

We are very pleased to invite children to join the extra-curricular, activity clubs which will take place this term. We are sure you will agree that there is a very wide range and hope there is at least one club for every child to enjoy. Please note that some will take place after school and some during lunch times, some are paid (annotated by an asterisk *) and some are not. Children attending lunchtime clubs MUST please bring a packed lunch or order sandwiches from Caterhouse. All clubs will commence week beginning Monday 15th September, with the exception of Monday Maths and Street Dance which will commence on 23rd September 2008. The Street Dance is being run on a trial basis and if successful may be extended to other year groups in due course.

To facilitate Football and Running clubs, parental supervision in helping to walk to and from the sports field is essential to ensure pupil safety. Please indicate overleaf if you are able to help us.

It should be noted that this is the preliminary programme of clubs and that more will be added during the academic year. You will be notified by separate letter. As always, when joining a club we expect children to attend on a very regular basis so that maximum enjoyment and benefit is achieved and we are confident that we can rely on the usual high standard of good behaviour from pupil members.

We pledge not to cancel any club unless there are extenuating circumstances such as bad weather. In order to alleviate pressure on the phone lines, we have introduced a mobile telephone 07747 184672 which will have a pre-recorded message detailing any cancellations from 1 p.m. on the day. Please do not leave a message on the line it is for information only.

In the event of over subscription places for all clubs will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. You will only be notified if your child has been un successful.

Clubs are run by staff on a voluntary basis and we ask parents to please ensure that you collect your child very promptly and to make a note of the correct time of collection. Please let us know if your child is being collected by another parent, if they have your permission to travel home alone or if they will be attending Cool Kids after School Club. (A member of staff will walk children to Cool Kids.)

Yours sincerely,

Mr. D. Norris
