Dr Kirsty Moore

"I am a 37 year old GP and a mother of three, my daughters are six and three and my son 18 months. I qualified from University College medical school in 1996 and currently work part-time at a practice in Hillingdon. I joined the Governing Body in Autumn 2009 as a parent governor.

As a doctor, my obvious skills to the Governing Body are based on my knowledge of the physical, social and psychological welfare of the (child) population and advising accordingly. However, while training I have experience over the years of educational establishments and since 2001 have also taught medical students attending courses on educational techniques and skills.

The similarities between the public sector departments of health and education are endless, hence my knowledge from the NHS is often transferable to the policies and strategies that affect schools.

Finally and most importantly, Holy Trinity is a wonderful school for our children and the children of Northwood and I am pleased I can contribute in some small way to maintaining its values and achievements so far, as well as its future development.

I am currently involved in the Operations and Management Committee, Welfare and Health and School meals working groups.

Any parents are welcome to contact me through the school office."

Mr Sven Beyrich

My name is Sven Beyrich and I have joined as a Foundation Governor representing Holy Trinity's Parochial Church Council to which the school is linked.

I am married with a son who is at secondary school.

In February I attended the school’s International Evening and was impressed by how many different nationalities make up the wider school family. The cultural awareness of the children was outstanding.

I will bring to the board of governors experience in finance and general business management skills. I am a member the Governors’ Personnel Committee.

Cllr Carol Melvin

I was born in Ilford Essex and grew up in Camden Town, both my Primary & Secondary education was at Church of England Schools. On leaving School I took up an apprenticeship as a Hairdresser.

My early married life was spent travelling with my husband who was an Army Bandmaster,
I have two daughters both now happily married and two grandsons one aged 26 years and one 16 months. After serving 22 years my husband retired from the services, and having tried living in one or two different areas we finally settled in Northwood in 1996.

Since moving to Northwood 14 years ago, I have taken a real interest in our community.
As a committed Christian, I am an active member of Emmanuel Church Northwood, I manage our Christian Bookstall, the Prayer Ministry Team, and the flower arranging team.  This is a very important part of my life.

I have always had a particular interest in local politics, and joined the Ruislip Northwood Conservative Association shortly after coming to Northwood and have served on the Conservative Northwood Ladies and the Northwood Branch Committee. For the last
6 years I have served as the Branch Chairman.

I retired from full time employment as a Senior Credit Controller with Elida Faberge (a Unilever Company) in 2002.  During my retirement I completed my studies with the Open University gaining a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Social Science with Social Policy, and a Diploma in Criminology.

From 2002 - 2008 I worked as one of the Volunteer Station Reception Officers in the Northwood Police Station, only leaving after my election as a Conservative Hillingdon Councillor representing the Northwood Ward in December 2008.  I still serve on the Northwood Ward Police Panel, liaising with our Safer Neighborhood Team on issues and concerns raised by the Northwood Residents.

I am the Conservative representative on Community Voice, a group that helps link different organizations & individuals who want good NHS services. Community Voice has also led the campaign to keep the Cancer Centre at Mount Vernon and to stop the closure of Harefield and Mount Vernon Hospitals.

I am now extremely pleased to have been appointed as the Hillingdon Local Authority appointed Governor at Holy Trinity Primary School.
