Lorry/Cycle Awareness

12th March 2019
On Tuesday 12th March, Years 5 and 6 had the opportunity to spend some time with 'Day Aggregates' to understand more about the dangers involved with large vehicles on the road.  The children experienced what it would be like to drive a big vehicle and discovered the amount of 'blind spots', viewing the in-vehicle cameras to help them determine the danger zones.

This knowledge has helped them to understand the importance of being aware of large vehicles from both the view of a pedestrian, as well as a cyclist's.
