St. Andrew's Day

30th November 2015
On 30th November the whole school celebrated St. Andrew's Day.  This is because this year we have renamed our school houses after British patron saints so that we can learn more about our country.  As you can see from the photos, the children enjoyed a range of activities.  Key Stage 2 all did Scottish dancing, while younger children made Scottish flags and designed their own tartan.  In case you are wondering what origami has to do with Scotland, Year 3 and Year 4 made origami Loch Ness Monsters.  Children in Year 5 and Year 6 made (and ate) shortbread and leek and tattie soup.
