Dear Parents,

We are delighted that we were able to open the school today and thank all parents who braved the icy conditions to bring your children to school.

The cold and icy conditions are forecast to continue into next week and for this reason I would ask parents to monitor the school website and use the emergency hotline details below. The hotline will be the first place that any news will be posted. We have found that this is the most reliable way to get a message to you. For this reason, we will now use the emergency hotline for all important messages such as school visit updates, school closures, cancellations of clubs/ after school activities. If you are not sure if the school is open or an activity is going ahead please ring the hotline. We enclose a card for your keyring which has the emergency hotline number on.

SCHOOL EMERGENCY HOTLINE
To access our emergency hotline please dial 08447 707576 and enter the School ID code: 54596.

We will do everything we can to keep the school open next week to minimise disruption for families. Caterhouse have informed us that they intend to continue providing school meals next week. Children have been set homework today. Should there be futher closures we will ensure that work is available for children on our Managed Learning Environment.

We have been informed that there will be some planned disruption to the Managed Learning Environment over the weekend in order for general maintenance to be undertaken. There should be a normal service from 8am on Monday morning.
