Uniform

There is an expectation for parents/carers to work in partnership to ensure pupils are correctly dressed in school uniform, in keeping with our high standards.

Pupils in Reception - Year 6 
  • A V-necked navy-blue jumper or cardigan with the school logo as supplied;
  • a white shirt;
  • navy blue pinafore or navy-blue knee length, pleated or ‘A’-line skirt; mid grey plain, straight trousers or shorts; school tie (not elasticated).
  • Plain Navy-blue tights; white / grey socks (no trainer socks) Black, flat shoes (no open toe / back) to be worn, no boots*
  • Navy blue and white small checked summer dresses / culottes style dresses can be worn from the beginning of the Summer Term through to 1st October.

Reception children only: Wellington boots (any colour) also required - to be kept in school.

PE Kit
  • White round neck tee-shirt – with logo Navy blue shorts
  • Plain navy sweatshirt (can be zip-through hoodie style without neck drawstrings) (no sports brands/logos)
  • Plain navy jogging trousers (no sports brands/logos)
  • Trainers suitable for PE (no astro trainers/boots)
Additional items
  • Pupils in Year 3 - Year 6 require an art overall (old, over-sized shirt).
  • Coat – please ensure children have a warm, waterproof coat
Bags
  • Pupils in Reception - Year 2 require a school branded bookbag with the school logo.
  • Pupils in Year 3 - Year 6 require a school branded rucksack and a small, clear pencil case.
Personal Appearance
  • In the interest of health, hygiene and safety, hair which is past a child’s chin must be fully tied back and up.
  • Hair should only be fastened with blue or black bands; small navy hair clips; only navy/white/clear hair beads.
  • Hair colour and style must be appropriate for school, ie. natural hair only – no brightly multi-coloured hair wraps, no dyed/tipped end dyed hair or head shavings and hairstyles should not be excessive.
  • Nails are to be natural; no nail varnish/gels/extensions to be worn under any circumstances.
  • No temporary tattoos; Henna tattoos only permitted as part of cultural events.
  • Make-up is not allowed.
Jewellery
  • No jewellery is to be worn except for one pair of small, plain, round studs where necessary worn in ear lobes. Children must remove ear-rings for PE and swimming and any new piercings are to be at the beginning of summer holidays.
  • Children in KS1 and KS2 may wear watches but the school can take no responsibility for any loss.
  • Children should not bring umbrellas or sunglasses to school.

The school’s decision is final in all of the above.

*A boot is defined as any footwear that covers the ankle.
