Perseverance is the continued effort to do or achieve something, even when it is difficult or takes a long time.

This is a great value for both pupils and staff to have at our school. In this time of Covid it has been difficult to persevere.

In many of the Bible stories the character has to persevere, the Israelites escaping Egypt and wandering in the desert, the Wise Men following the star to find Jesus and Jesus suffering death on the cross and ultimately triumphing over death.

The Bible talks about being steadfast and enduring; perseverance is this and more. It is leaning from our problems and setbacks and always pressing on.

The Bible says - doing the right thing isn’t always the same as doing the easy thing, but even if it’s harder, the payoff of doing the right thing will be so much greater.
