Redwood Class visit to St. Paul's Cathedral

20th January 2017
We were delighted to be able to take Year 6 to a special service at St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday 20th January.  The service was to give thanks for the work of the London Diocesan Board for Schools and in particular for the contribution made by Liz Wolverson as the Director of Schools Support Services.

The children were intrigued to discover that we are not the only Holy Trinity School in the LDBS when we were entertained by the Steel Band from Holy Trinity Tottenham at the beginning of the service.  We sang some traditional hymns but with a twist - they were accompanied not only by the magnificent organ but by a group of drummers from Inspire-works. The service was presided over by the Bishop of London.

If you ask the children about their favourite part, they will probably tell you it was when the organist played the theme tunes from Harry Potter, The Simpsons and Star Wars!

Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to take part in worship in such a special place.
