Remembrance Service

10th November 2019
Northwood Remembrance Day Parade

On Sunday 10th November, the House Captains met at the Northwood War Memorial. The parade commenced at 10.45 am and a two minutes silence was observed at 11 am. Following a beautiful service by the church leaders of Northwood, the House Captains were invited (along with the military and many groups) to lay their wreath on behalf of Holy Trinity School. Along with the wreath, the House Captains left a book of personalised thank you cards which Redwood Class had written for individual soldiers who are commemorated on the Northwood War Memorial. In class, each child was given the background of a WW1 soldier from Northwood, they learnt about their background and the sacrifice they made. They then addressed their 'thank you' card to their soldier.

Thank you to our House Captains: Caitlin W, Tomas, Ilyas, Katie, who represented the school beautifully.
